The Fort Worth Police Department will hold a candlelight vigil on Monday evening to remember Officer Brian Gentry, who died last week after suffering a medical emergency while on duty.
Gentry served with the department for 22 years, most recently working in the Fugitive Unit alongside the U.S. Marshals Task Force.
The department is inviting the public to join fellow officers and community members in honoring Gentry’s life and service.
The candlelight vigil is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m. at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex, located at 505 W. Felix St. in Fort Worth.
The event is open to the public.
