Siegel Cares, the philanthropic arm of The Siegel Company, recently held its annual Siegel Cares Fall Festival, which brought together families, local organizations, service providers, performers, and volunteers for a day of fall festivities, essential resources, and community support.
“Our goal was to create a fun fall celebration while providing access to everyday essentials and community resources in one festive setting,” said Judi Siegel, co-owner of The Siegel Group. “I want to thank all of the partners that participated and the families that attended, who together made the fall festival such an amazing success.”
A main highlight of the event was a clothing and household pantry organized by Susie Martinez, the community relations liaison for Siegel Cares, and Vegas Youth Ambassadors that featured thousands of items, including new, gently used, and donated clothing, shoes, linens, and houseware items, all available to attendees at no cost.
Led by Destiny Whitley, director of community relations and events for Siegel Cares, the event created a fun festival experience with numerous family-friendly activities including carnival games, balloon animals, temporary tattoos, and a giant two-story inflatable slide as well as a pumpkin patch with free pumpkins. A photo booth offering complimentary commemorative photos was provided by Glam Cam Photobooth. Free refreshments included pizza, hot dogs, tacos, and Pinkbox Doughnuts.
Siegel Cares also worked with numerous vendors for a trunk-or-treat that connected families with community organizations offering helpful resources and services. Haircuts for people of all ages were also available.
The fall festival also featured entertainment with special guests including DJ Chi Rich, American Idol finalist and regular NBA Summer League performer Sophia Ava Maria who sang the national anthem, Camp Spin Off, BTR Breakers, the Clark High School Mariachi band, and Pink Mariachi.
Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom also attended the event and applauded Siegel Cares for its commitment to serving the community.
Other partners that made the event possible included Tomorrow’s Stars; Valley Hospital; The Center; New Beginnings Support Services; CareSource; Toni’s House; Vegas Stronger; Hoving Home; Southern Nevada Health District; Olive Crest; U.S.VETS; Crossroads of Southern Nevada; Prevent Child Abuse Nevada / UNLV; Midway Staffing; RTC Club Ride; HELP of Southern Nevada; AFP Nevada; Critical Care Comics; Infinite Fidelis Organization; Words Are Rich Foundation; SilverSummit Healthplan; Fent Prevent; Nevada Health Centers; Raising Cane’s; Latino Media Network; Citizens of the World Charter Schools; Clark County Social Services–Adult Care Services; Spread the Word Nevada; Share the Joy; Nevada Legal Services; Rey Maldonado; Refuge for Women; Alliance for Child Protection; Camp Spin Off; Clark County Fire; Metro Dream, SWAT & the Metropolitan Police Department; CCR Solutions; and Security Alliance for Survivors.
